Process Info
Process Info shows what is running inside the focused terminal: the shell and every process it started, with memory use and run time. Use it to find out what a script spawned, or which process is eating memory.
Open it with the open_process_info action from the
command palette, or from the side menu. It has no default key; to
give it one:
keybind = Ctrl+Alt+I=open_process_infoUse it
Section titled “Use it”At the top the panel shows the terminal’s main process:
| Field | Shows |
|---|---|
| Name, PID, Status | which process it is and its state |
| Memory | memory used by the process itself |
| Memory (Total) | memory used by the process and all its children |
| CWD | its current working directory |
| Runtime | how long it has been running |
Below, Child Processes lists everything it started as a tree, with the same fields. Collapse and expand branches as needed.
The panel refreshes every 2 seconds while it is open.
Keep watching one terminal
Section titled “Keep watching one terminal”The panel normally follows the terminal you focus. To watch one terminal while you work in another, click the lock button in the panel header. Click it again to follow the focus again. Closing the panel releases the lock.
If the locked terminal is closed, the panel shows “The session has ended.”
